Letter to 2019 Competitors- Please Read

Class 1. 20km ride

13yrs and over: £20.00
Under 13yrs: £15.00

All Pony Club members will be vetted before and after, so this class can be used as one of your qualifying rides for the Pony Club Novice Endurance Championships. If you would like to use this as a Pony Club Intermediate Qualifier you can make the ride up to 30km.

Class 2 10km ride

13yrs and over: £20.00
Under 13yrs: £15.00

Class 1 and 2 Mounted supervisors £10.00

Class 1 and 2 open to all PC members (it doesn’t matter how small or hairy your pony is) and all adults (50, 60, 70 and 80 yr olds especially welcome). Distance points available for N&EYorks members.

For classes 1 and 2 all competitors under the age of 13 yrs need to be accompanied by an adult. If a parent could come and ride with you then that would be great, otherwise I will have a number of accompanying adults doing the ride, who you may join. When you collect your numbers fill in and hand in your PC Endurance mastercard/local EGB card, if you have one.

Do not send a stamped addressed envelope with your entry as maps will be available on the day at the secretaries and a list of entries and start times will be available on the BWY Pony Club and North and East Yorks EGB websites 2/3 days before the competition.

Before setting off Pony Club members will be put into small groups of 2 or 3 and we will have a quick discussion of the speed you need to go and any other rules of the ride

Rosettes and Easter Eggs to all those who finish.

Class 3. 4km Easter Egg Hunt

£ 10.00

All riders on the Easter Egg Hunt must be 10yrs old or under and should be accompanied by an adult on foot. They will have to discover clues which will reward with Easter eggs when they complete the ride.

Please send a cheque made out to The BWY Pony Club, for the appropriate amount  to Robert Blane at 7 Stoneybrough Lane, Thirsk, N.Yorks. YO7 2LS.

On the day please enter Thorp Perrow by the back drive on the Bedale to Well road. It will be signposted ‘Bedale and West of Yore Pony Club’
